Mandap Decor in Mississauga
The mandap is where the rituals of a Hindu wedding unfold. From our design studio in Mississauga, GPS Decors designs mandaps for banquet halls, convention centres, hotels and outdoor ceremonies across the city.

A Mississauga Mandap: Grand Victorian Convention Centre
For this indoor ceremony we framed the mandap in layers of blush velvet, finished with a canopy of cascading white florals and a flower wall behind the couple’s seats. Guests arrived down an aisle lined with white pillars, floral arrangements, glass candle cylinders and scattered rose petals, all framed by draped entrance curtains.
Soft colours and tall florals made the most of the ballroom’s height while keeping the focus on the ceremony.
Designed at Our Mississauga Studio
Our studio at 1229 Lorimar Dr. is where we meet families to plan the ceremony. Visits are by appointment. Bring your inspiration photos, colours and outfits, and tell us about the rituals you are planning and who will be seated at the mandap. We then design a mandap and a customized quotation around your venue and traditions.
Mandap Styles We Design
- Draped and floral: velvet or chiffon draping with floral canopies and flower walls
- Carved and white: carved pillar and jali mandaps with white or blush florals
- Grand and traditional: palace-style gold mandaps, red draping and rich florals
- Outdoor and garden: rose pillar and lattice mandaps for summer ceremonies

Planning a Mandap at a Mississauga Venue
Every venue shapes the mandap. Before confirming a design, we look at:
- Ceiling height and room size, which set the scale of the mandap and canopy
- The venue’s rules about the sacred fire for the havan
- Setup and access times, and whether the room turns over from ceremony to reception
- Space for the rituals and seating for the couple, parents and priest
- For outdoor ceremonies, a weather plan and a level, accessible base
If your reception is in the same room or the same venue, we can design both so the colours and florals carry through. See reception decor and wedding decor in Mississauga.
